Updated 2/20
Voters need to read, see, and see on the go everywhere, but especially outside of Durham, that while they may like Valerie Foushee, we can’t trust her to put our interests first in this critical moment. Valerie Foushee won her election in 2022 by accepting over $3 million from Super PACs funded by AIPAC and the Israel and Crypto lobbies. Now, her campaign is bankrolled by corporate PAC checks from Big Banks, Big Pharma, and Big Tech. In the Congressional district that was the hardest hit by Trump and Elon Musk’s DOGE cuts, we need someone who answers to working people, not corporations and the wealthy.
If additional resources allow, voters need to see, see on the go and read Foushee has also taken donations from multiple corporations “who have the biggest ICE contracts.” She stands with big corporations, including the ones collaborating with ICE, not us.
Voters need to read and see on the go that County Commissioner Nida Allam works for working families—not billionaires and not corporate Super PACs. That’s why she helped deliver funding to support property tax relief, passed a minimum wage increase for County workers, and delivered the highest level of funding to our public schools in County history. She’s helped direct over a hundred million dollars towards healthcare for North Carolinians and in Congress, she’ll fight for Medicare for All to ensure we not only protect, but expand healthcare coverage for all of us. Allam is endorsed by Bernie Sanders.
Closing Argument
Going to the polls, voters need to know: Nida Allam fights for working people, Valerie Foushee is on the side of big corporations. It’s time for a change.
– County Commissioner Nida Allam has been endorsed by Bernie Sanders,
– Supports Bernie Sanders’ moratorium on AI data center construction and opposes the construction of the new Apex data center, and
– Refuses to take any money from corporate super PACs.
– Representative Valerie Foushee is bought and paid for by corporate PACs,
– Does not support a moratorium on AI data center construction and has remained silent on the construction of the new Apex data center which will raise utility rates.
– Which is why she’s being supported by the AI lobby’s super PACs while AI data centers drive up utility costs for working families.
If possible, Wake and Chatham County voters need to see on the go the contrast between the two candidates on AI data centers.
